Nam Nguyen [he/him] is an illustrator and multimedia visual artist based in Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam. Nam’s art practices range from illustration and printmaking to community event organizer. His work and ethics aims to promote self independent publishing, printmaking, accessible art and DIY culture in Vietnam.
From 2021 to 2025 alongside visual arts, he was a performing guitarist for the Vietnamese experimental music collective Rắn Cạp Đuôi, and Hà Nội based experimental Hip-Hop / Sound Collage band Mona Evie.
Nam’s works not only prioritize themes of young adult life, which most would agree is a trying time in a person’s life, but also as a socially aware, queer and alternative Vietnamese youth in a time where that is not the ideal.
In 2026, after leaving Wedogood Risograph Studio; Nam co-founded one of Vietnam’s first DIY collective and independent publisher “Tau Hu Ky Collective” where he currently works closely with the underground arts & music scene of Ho Chi Minh.
